As the trip draws ever closer, there's been some changes to the line-up:
First: We are indeed going to be spending time up in the mountainous Ome Camp, where many Fukushima evacuees are currently calling "home." We will be doing our Bible Camp for the kids at this camp, as well as some children from Kurume Christian Church. We will still be spending time in Higashi-Kurume
Second: The camp's time has changed! Previously in the morning and extending into early afternoon, the camp is now starting at 2:30. Maybe this will give us more time to sleep in? (hahahno.) But we DO get to go visit Japanese church services, which will be AWESOME. We also get to play with the smaller kids during our extra time :)
Third: There's a chance we'll be heading out to Tohoku, one of Japan's many devistated regions, and do work out there. I'm assuming it'll be your typical disaster-relief style work. The kicker is that this will fall towards the end of the trip, and it's going to be a grueling day of work (not to mention, travel--we would leave at 7pm the evening before our day of service, then drive until 6am, then start work at 7am and not quit until 7pm). This right now is not cemented into our plans; we're still mulling it over. Prayers for making the right decision about this trip would be MUCH appreciated!
